Exciting news! Senator?Adam Hinds?successfully included $1.5 million for our West County economic development center in this bond bill, which was passed by the Massachusetts Senate last night. The Center will be based in a repurposed Charlemont dairy barn and serve as a hub for economic growth in the rural communities in western Franklin County. Next step? The House and Senate reconcile their respective bond bills by July 31.

      Hi Bob,

The House and Senate included the barn project in the bill which was subsequently signed by the governor. Now the governor must release the funds for the project. We will gather support to help him with a positive decision. Meanwhile, Linesync Architects are moving forward with a feasibility study generously funded by friends of the project. This is all great news for western Franklin County.
