Toby Gould has resigned from Rural Commonwealth for family reasons, effective immediately. On behalf of our board and volunteers, I would like to thank Toby for his help launching and setting direction for Rural Commonwealth over the last two years.
In light of Toby’s departure, I have canceled tomorrow night’s Small Town Summit on ZIP codes. This event has been replaced with a research team and a workgroup, both of which are getting up-and-running right now.
Details about that workgroup and other Small Town Summit news will be in an email I send out tomorrow — the first in a series of messages about the year ahead for Rural Commonwealth. We have a lot of exciting work coming up. Please stay tuned and let me know if there are any projects that pique your interest. It would be great to get your feedback and help on these efforts. More tomorrow!
Finally, many of our communities get new municipal board and committee members around this time of the year. If there are newbies in your town, please forward this email to them, so they can see what’s going on and join our email list. We will do outreach to them this summer, but your help on this front will save our volunteers a lot of time. Thank you!
With gratitude for all your hard work and support,
Director, Rural Commonwealth
